snow business
in stockholm tonight with tindersticks on a day off. 12 gigs in 13 days has left everyone pretty fried but the gigs have been great, especially copenhagen where a packed-to-the-rafters vega showed its resounding appreciation.
a bit obsessed with this philo classic from the first thin lizzy album at the moment. i’m not crazy about the record as a whole but this is a real gem that rarely gets it’s dues….

The intro has a haunting similarity to those early motown vibes. Imagine sticking the funk brothers in to provide the rhythmic elements to that intro piece! Some of those 2nd and 4th guitar stabs and perhaps Jamerson rocking some syncopated bass lick…why do I do this
