Spilly goes to Cork…
Spilly Walker is in Cork tomorrow night (fri) as part of Donal Dineen’s Fresh Air Season. Here’s a little taster of what to expect:
David and Robbie did an on-air session with Donal as part of the first Fresh Air in November last year, where they played Spilly tracks live and brought in some great tracks for Donal to play. You can get a list of the tracks they picked, and a link to listen back to the session, here>
The Cork gig is in a deadly venue for Triskel called the SubStation, being as how it’s an old ESB SubStation. Kevin Blake is playing too, and Donal will be doing live visuals and DJing at the show. Tickets are €15/12 and available in advance (from Triskel), or on the door. Doors are 8pm, show at 8.30pm.
This will be the last chance to catch Spilly Walker live until the Autumn; Robbie’s away all summer….

The New Breed
It’s Yours (from The Nightsaver) is one of the tracks selected for a new double album of contemporary irish music that was released yesterday. It’s in some great company with tracks from Patrick Kelleher, The Jimmy Cake, Dark Room Notes, Valerie Francis and R.S.A.G among others. New David Kitt track
Explorers Club No. 5: Berlin - Stockholm
David contributed a new track- Still Don’t Know- to the mighty Explorers Club series, an ingenious collaboration between LOAF and Arctic Circle (who David played for in Union Chapel London last month). Each month a new download is made available, with some lovely artwork, or you can subscribe for the year to receive all of the downloads, plus this lovely swag below:
